The story “Buby’s Tooth”

The boy king Buby I has his first wobbly tooth, which the palace doctors end up pulling out. He writes a letter to Ratón Pérez, who visits him that night, wakes him up and, by an extraordinary marvel, turns him into a lovely little mouse. After braving the dangers of the sewers they reach his home at Calle del Arenal 8, where he meets the family; then Pérez takes him to collect Gilito’s tooth and shows him the hardship some people in his kingdom live with. An adaptation of Father Luis Coloma’s “Ratón Pérez”, illustrated with full-colour watercolours and short lines from the story in Spanish and English.

Many children wonder how the characters we see on TV are filmed. Here is a quick look at how we do it, in this case with the Mamoncetes (a group of baby teeth), getting ready for their next appearance in videos and reports.
